2017-18 Season - January Update

Firstly, a "Hello and Best Wishes for 2018" to Peter Fordham, who founded and organised this League from the late 1990s until around three seasons ago, from all your friends in the Clubs who play in this League. We hope you are following the League's progress through this website.

Now onward to a brief summary of the first two sessions in November and last Saturday. Both Saturday afternoons were very competitive and the number of 5-0 victories last Saturday didn't reflect the competitiveness of the matches.

Ellesmere Evolution lead the way in Division 1 by 6 points from Rougham Lions and it looks as if the title will be between the two of them.  Bury Bulldogs and Rougham Panthers will be fighting hard to avoid the "Wooden Spoon" spot at the bottom of the table.

In Division 2 Rougham Rovers have a slender lead of 2 points over Bury Bears. Much praise must go to the two Ellesmere teams, Expedience and Essence, firstly because they are so difficult to spell, but more importantly that all their team members have continued to try their hardest even when being well beaten. Keep up the good work, I'm sure your coaches and parents are very proud of you.

So its onward to the last Saturday of League matches 20th January when we are back to the usual start time of 1:30pm with 3 rounds of matches to play. The tournament will be on Saturday 24th February as previously advised.
