In Division One, Hopwas Panthers narrowly beat Tamworth Youth Club Retros 6-4, although Andy Jackson put up a good fight for Retros, remaining unbeaten. Alan Caffery and Trevor Davies both scored doubles for the victorious Panthers, supported by a single from Martin Round. Tony Stewart also retained a point for Retros. Lichfield Jets beat Spital Daredevils 9-1. The young Jets team of Cameron Sykes, Michael Smith and Harry Emberson could not be beaten individually, but they lost out in the doubles game when the Spital partnership of Stuart Spalding and Howard Lewis were triumphant in a close five game set.
In Division Two, Rugby Oddballs beat Lichfield Barons 7-3. Dave Storr won a hat-trick of games, while Keith Pratt scored a brace for Oddballs. Yuriy Slobodyuk fought back well for Barons, winning two games, and Pete Collins scored a single, but it was not enough to beat the Oddballs. Hopwas Jokers beat TYC Future 6-4. Alastair and Martin Tallis both won two out three games for Jokers, while Michael Bree was undefeated for Future. Netherseal Cedar beat Kingsbury Pumas 7-3. Gary Carr won all of his games for Cedar, helped by a brace from Steve Farrington. Daniel Granfield scored a double for Pumas, but it was not enough to beat the Netherseal team. There was a 5-5 stalemate when Rugby Kings met Lichfield Knaves. Jonathan Pilling was not beaten for Kings, and Dean Snowden won two games. Mark Balant responded with a double for Knaves, helped by singles from Jack Gillespie and Dave Russell.
In Division Three, TYC Boffs beat TYC Noobs 10-0. The Boffs trio of Sam Bernstein, Sam Till and Shaun Guest could not be beaten. Burntwood A beat TYC Lambs 6-4. James and Rob Shaw both scored twice for Lambs, but Cameron McCurdy was unbeaten for Burntwood, proving too strong on the night. James McCurdy and Steve Loundes also scored singles for Burntwood to secure the victory.
