WEEK 6- 4TH NOVEMBER 2013 MATCH REPORT

Division One

Top of the table Wilnecote Raiders turned on the style
thrashing Lichfield Jets 10-0 away from home in Week 6 of the Tamworth Table
Tennis league Division One. The Raiders trio of Steve Atkinson, James Rudge and
Andy Bache comfortably won all their matches. Second placed Tamworth TYC also
emerged victorious by the same 10-0 score-line against Kingsbury Tornadoes
despite a number of close run contests. Ronnie Woolaston, Andy Jackson and Carl
Mountjoy were too good on the night for Tornadoes to handle. Curdworth Wheelers
Pingers edged their contest with Netherseales 6-4 in a 43 set classic. Rob
Rowson was star player for Pingers with three ably supported by Rob Sheldon who
struck twice and Dawn Sagoo with one. Netherseales points came courtesy of an
Andy Rose pair with Jason Hadley adding a single. Jason combined with Danny
Sullivan to win the doubles. TYC Wanderers defeated two-player Rugby Club Kings
8-2 thanks to Matt Satchwell remaining undefeated on the night plus two points each
from Alan Baker and Steve Smith. Johnathan Pilling used his bat to great effect
to claw back a point for Kings with Dean Snowden adding the second.

Division Two

Spital Daredevils continue to dominate Division Two with a
comfortable 9-1 win over Rugby Oddballs. Paul Bowler and Alan Baker were both
on target with maximums for the Daredevils and Stuart Spalding scored twice.
Keith Pratt made sure the Oddballs came away with something from the night
scoring once. A treble from Alastair Tallis helped his second placed side,
Jokers A, defeat Curdworth Wheelers Pongers 8-2. Alastair was helped out by
Dave Tucker and Martin Tallis who each scored braces. Elsewhere Jokers B secured
a 9-1 win over Lichfield Musketeers. Chris Latham and Mike Fleetwood were both
maximum men on the night with Colin Cartwright winning two. John Bell scored
once for the Musketeers in reply.

Division Three

Two from John Howell was not enough to prevent Kingsbury
Cruisers going down 8-2 away to top side Netherseal Ash. George Parry was in
top form for Ash with a well taken hat-track. Mick Sherratt and Graham Clarke
both added pairs. Lichfield Barrons emerged victorious over Spital Mondays 8-2
thanks to maximum man John Henson. Pete Collins and Karl Turner assisted taking
doubles. John Brookes scored twice in response for the Mondays. In the final
match of the week TYC Futures won their clash with Lichfield Rockets 8-2.  Steven Thomas and Zoran took a point each for
Rockets but it was not enough as top-of-Division Three averages Sam Bernstein won
another three points for Futures. Zorro Kasarge and Aimee Evans added two
points each.
