Dave Reeves, Anthony Kent, Emily Standing with the Albert Mann Cup 2016

Thornbury A won the club's first Albert Mann Cup last night, defeating Frampton A in the final. The team consisting of Emily Standing, Anthony Kent and Dave Reeves started the match with a 73 point deficit but with a mix of patience and aggression, this was overturned by Game 7 so it was then a case of managing the points until the last of the 36 ends.

This completes the double for Thornbury A and we are told that only ourselves and Forest Green A have managed this feat so congratulations to the whole A team squad of Emily, Anthony, Dave, Ian Maggs, Len Vowles and Julian Elsbury
