Congratulations to Hamish Yeung and Helen Arnold, who were victorious in the Men's and Ladies Singles events at St Neots TTC. Hamish hit back from dropping the first leg in the final against Martyn Livermore, who surprisingly reached the Mens final after overcoming top seed Daniel Fielding, in the last 16, Julian Tee in the quarter final and Impington club mate Jan Hryca in the Semi final. Yeung had beaten Alex Facey deuce in the fifth in probably the game of the day in the other semi final. Impington's Helen Arnold retained the Ladies Singles clinched the Ladies singles with a relatively comfortable victory over Bassingbourn's Val Parkes. Alex Facey and Daniel Fielding had a four set win over St Neots colleagues Shaun Murray and Julian Tee. Facey also clinched the Vets singles, coming back from losing the first leg to Julian Tee. Di Gutteridge collected two winners trophies, firstly being paired with Val Parkes to win the Ladies Doubles over Helen Arnold and Caroline Wright. She then combined with Shaun Murray to win a five set thriller in the Mixed Doubles against Impington pairing Helen Arnold and Martyn Livermore.
