Les Constable's report on the season
Once again New Chesterton Institute were successful in winning
the championship of Division 1. Their team of John Thurston,
Keke Mistry and Vic Tiplady were the successful team of players
and fully deserved their success. It was a hard struggle for them
but in the end they succeeded in their quest.
Great Ouse River Board and Torchbearers I tied for first place
in Division 2 so that both were promoted to the first division.
In the third Division Soham I were the top team and they had
steadily climbed from the bottom divisions year by year. They
would be a real force to be reckoned with.
