Cambridge & District TTL 1983-1984

Les Constable's report on the season

Soham 1 again were successful in gaining 1st Division honours but Wesley were beginning to look dangerous rivals and although losing 2-8 in their first match against them they succeeded in beating them 8-2 in the return fixture. Their team of Keith Richardson (98%), Martyn Livermore & Peter Nelson performed exceptionally well and no doubt great things are in store. The Soham team of Steve Palmer, Mick Palmer, Julian Wheel and Clive Woollard again performed very well and it is going to be a good team to dislodge them from the top position. Steve Palmer had 93%, Mick Palmer 91% and Julian Wheel 85%. The University came head of the second division with Paul Dilger obtaining 100% as did A.Keen of British Telecom (in 5A) and Chris Everitt of Soham (in 5C).

Soham 8 beat Netherhall 2 in the Handicap Knockout Final.
