Wakefield League Week 2 round up

PWTT v Eastmoor A

John Flynn bolstered PWTT Lee York and Kevin Plowman as they took on Eastmoor A who had Graham Wylie Chris Inman and John Keegan as their 3.

Lee was on first against Graham and found him just too consistent going down 3-1, next on was Kev and Chris with Kev easing home in 3 close fought sets. Two Johns next put on a great show with JF taking it 3-0 including a nail biting 19-17 second set. Kev, like Lee couldn’t handle Graham and Lee recovered well from losing the first set to John to power home in the next 3. John and Chris now proceeded to put on a 5 set show of great shots and defence with John edging the last 15-13. Leaving the doubles to last Kev lost in 4 sets to John, John managed a great win over Graham and Lee went down against Chris. At 5-4 Chris and John took the first set in the doubles but Kev and Lee clawed their way back to win 4-1 and take the match 6-4.

Eastmoor C v Eastmoor B

Charlie Brown., Anthony Nakibinge and Paul Coletta of the C team were faced with Carl Keegan, Tyrone Fleming and Paul Aldcroft of the B team at the church for this one.

It was really one way traffic in this one as Carl Tyrone and Paul hammered their way past their opponents. Charlie being the only C team player to take a set. Not for want of trying though. 0-10 to Carls team.
