Week 17
PWTT v Eastmoor C
Nicky, Kevin and Roger met up with Paul, Charlie and Anthony for this one. Nicky led off against Paul and came through this in straight sets. Kevin eased past Charlie and Roger sneaked past Anthony to get a good lead. Kev fell to Paul 3-1 as Pauls forehand hammered down winners. Nicky flew through his encounter with Anthony and Roger got past a subdued Charlie. The doubles went to Kev and Roger to secure the win and was further increased with Kev beating Anthony. Roger got battered by Paul with Nicky bring the match to a conclusion beating Charlie for an 8-2 win and a guarantee of 2nd place in the league.
Barnsley v Eastmoor A
Ray, John and Steve fought against just the two players Daniel and Chris of Eastmoor. With 3 it’s a difficult task but the pair of Dan and Chris tried manfully and managed to get the better of John. However beating either of the 2 100%ers Ray or Steve was a different matter but notably Chris took a set of each of them. Final score 8-2 to Barnsley
