Cup matches
The first week back in action for the Wandsworth League saw the two Cup competitions; The Presidents Cup (straight knock out) and the renamed Ian McCarthy Shield  (run on 11up ratings - a handicapping event). The stand out matches in the Ian McCarthy Shield was the battle between York Gardens strongest team YG Zander, and their junior squad York Gardens E. It proved a mighty battle with YG Zander winning it 5-4. St Pauls B were taken to the limits by their team mates St Pauls C just edging it 5-4. Earlier during the week York Gardens B managed a good win away from home against XXIV Club B 6-3. St Pauls A and B had victories had at home. The A team winning 7-1 over Vale B, and St Pauls B winning 6-3 over Wilton. The next round of matches takes place during the week commencing 22nd October.
