Junior Second Day report

Warwickshire’ County Junior team enjoyed a positive day in Division 1A of the County Junior League at Draycott, Long Eaton on Saturday. They were represented by Milly Bradshaw of Rugby, Lisa Rinnhofer and Sam Henderson of Colebridge and the Lillington Free Church duo of Timmy Cooper and Lee Dorning.

Staffordshire were defeated 6-4 as Dorning took the scalps of Lewis Acton and Ashley Offley. Henderson nailed Offley and Michael Bree, Cooper beat Acton and Rinnhofer overcame Philippa Luxton.

Cheshire went the same way, Henderson beating Dan Clarke and David Eden, Dorning taking Eden and Ryan Lunn, Cooper walloping Lunn, and Rinnhofer having a fine win over England 43 Rachel Scott.

A draw ensued against Lancashire, Henderson beating England 21 Robert Barker and Amirul Hussain, Cooper also beating Barker and England 42 James Chappell and Dorning taking Hussain.

The only defeat was to a strong Yorkshire side, 3-7, Cooper defeating England 37 Shayan Siraj, and Bradshaw and Rinnhofer taking England 57 Samantha Parker.
