Gordon has carried out a lot of coaching work over the past 12 months, not only as part of his job as a multisports coach in Nottingham but also outside of this in the Table Tennis Community. He has been heavily involved in the regional set up and is the lead coach for the U13 development squads as well as coaching at the regional development centre on a weekly basis. He has started coaching at a new club in West Bridgford which is currently going from strength to strength. He coached Emma Vickers to her 3rd U21 National title and also coached 3 people who carried the Olympic Torch, 2 of whom were Table Tennis players Emma Vickers and James Rawson. As well as being an ETTA tutor and assessor, Gordon has also mentored many other coaches and is also currently going through his UKCC level 3 qualification.
