In advance of the meeting, members were shown around the new Pavilion by Jim Gee, and were able to see the area where table tennis could be played and discuss some of the issues which concerned them. There was also further discussion at the meeting, and when the Chairman put the proposals to the vote, there was an overwhelming vote in favour from those present and from the proxy votes.
Following this, a new cornilleau 540 competition table has been ordered from UK Table Tennis in West Grinstead, specially for the Club through member Nikki Sharp, which will allow one of our existing tables to be moved into the Pavilion in the next couple of weeks. This will enable most of our league matches to be played there. It is also hoped that other TT sessions can be arranged there, and it was suggested that there might be an open house session for WCTTC members to try out the new playing area.
