Stogumber A lead the First Division having taken 71 of a possible 72 points from away matches at Roys Boys and Tigers. Roys Boys’ Barry Hooper scored the only singles success against Stogumber with a five set win over David Bryant.
Gnomads hold second spot following a 30-21 home win over Shooting Stars. Gnomads’ Eddie Ferris managed the only maximum of the match. David Gliddon added 8 singles points but was denied his maximum in a 5 set defeat to John Phillips.
Wiveliscombe have games in hand over the top 2 sides and kept themselves in contention for the league title with a 36-4 win over Tigers. John Edbrooke, Dave Woodland and Paul Nutkins all achieved maximums for Wiveliscombe. Woodland dropped a single set to both Geoff Williams & Robin Arkell. Williams took a further 2 singles points in forcing Nutkins to 5 sets.
White Horse kept up their challenge for the Division 2 title with a 36-9 home victory over St. Audries. Ollie Rew, Jamie Robertson and Chris Berry-Roper all recorded maximums for White Horse. Four of St. Audries’ points came from the doubles
