Wiveliscombe took a giant step towards retaining their champions title as they completely outplayed Stogumber A at Waterrow Hall. Both John Edbrooke and David Woodland recorded maximums for Wiveliscombe. Stogumber managed only one singles win as Martyn Summerell defeated Paul Nutkins over 4 sets. Summerell teamed up with David Bryant to take a consolation win in the final doubles of the evening with a 4 set win over Edbrooke and Nutkins.

Andrew Burt proved to be a worthy replacement adding 6 singles points from 5 set wins over John Phillips and Tony Burrows.
Basement Dwellers maintained their challenge for the league title as they took maximum points from their home fixture with Minehead A.
Toby Kerslake, Mike Vickery and Vince Court all recorded maximums for the Dwellers. Substitute Mathew Short took 2 of Minehead A’s 3 points.
