The First Division top three all recorded maximum point wins this week. Wiveliscombe conceded only a single point to Tigers as Geoff Williams forced Paul Nutkins to 4 sets. Joe Camp took a singles point from each of his games against Stogumber A. Rod Richards made a welcome return to league table tennis and duly completed a maximum for Basement Dwellers as they amassed 36 points against Shooting Stars. John Phillips forced Toby Kerslake to 5 sets to take Shooting Stars only 2 points of the match.
A Martin Rant maximum helped Gnomads to a 32-12 away win at Bampton. Team mates Nigel Foster and David Gliddon added 7 singles points each. Roy Hooper top scored for Roys Boys with 6 points from his singles.
Mad Batters cemented their place at the top of Division Two with a 28-15 victory over closest rivals Hobby Horse. Batters Mathew Short recorded the only maximum of the match and was well supported by Jamie Short and Hamish Cuthbertson who added 6 singles points each.
Hobby Horse captain Mike Lawrie took 7 singles points and the team won 2 doubles to add a further 7 points to their total.
