Vince Court managed the only maximum of the night as Basement Dwellers won 31-19 at Roys Boys. Harry Harrison top scored for Roys Boys with 7 points from his singles including wins over Paul Rees and Rod Richards.
A strong team performance saw Gnomads win 29-15 at Minehead A. Eddie Ferris, Martin Rant and Nigel Foster amassed 6, 7 and 8 singles points respectively although it was Minehead’s Toby Kerslake who completed the games only maximum.
Joe Camp recorded his second maximum of the season and was well supported by team mates Jasper Pye and Joseph Burt who gained 6 singles points each as Swallows defeated Shooting Stars 27-15. Robin Arkell took 6 singles points for the Stars with straight sets wins over both Pye and Burt.
In Division Two a fine maximum for Julie Pennington-Ridge wasn’t enough to save Space Invaders from defeat at the hands of Mad Batters. Jamie Short took 8 points from his singles and the Batters scored 7 points from the doubles to win the match by a narrow 2 point margin.
Liz Fletcher completed a hard earned maximum to help Drifters to a 31-17 victory over House Martyns. Ellie Baker played a fine match for the Juniors and was unfortunate to lose each of her games in the fifth set. Jack Lancaster added 6 points for House Martyns with singles wins over Ali Lang and Alan Blackmore. Curtis Beynon-Pearce also defeated Lang in his league debut.
