Swallows maintained their chances of a quarter-final spot with a 35 point victory over Hobby Horse in Box A of the Handicap Cup. Jasper Pye was man of the match finishing with a personal gain of 26.
Stogumber A lead Box B following a 74 point win at Tonys Troopers. Martyn Summerell made a gain of 53 points and was well supported by Andrew Miles and Barbara Parker who made surpluses of 16 and 5 respectively.
Shooting Stars improved their hopes of progressing with a comfortable 93 point success over St Audries. Geoff Williams and Robin Arkell scored a maximum 126 points each and Martin Shoots chipped in with a gain of 30 points.
From Box C Gnomads and Drifters took the quarter final places. Gnomads defeated Barn Boys by a margin of 128 points to ensure top spot. Drifters secured runner up position with a 26 point victory at Roys Boys.
Box D fixtures were also completed with Wiveliscombe and Minehead A booking quarter final places. David Woodland completed a points surplus of 31 as Wiveliscombe defeated Mad Batters by 33 points. Marcus Short was Mad Batters top player making a personal gain of 10 points.
Minehead A edged Mad Batters out of the runner up spot by just 5 points. They won a close encounter with White Horse by only 2 points. Terry Cadman and Dave Veale made all important individual gains for Minehead of 4 and 15 points respectively.
