Allsorts | Wiveliscombe | 26 - 17 |
As 2023 draws to an end, Allsorts concluded their final match of this round when they hosted Wiveliscombe. It was a close fought affair with Scott Milton leading the home team with the only maximum to earn the player of the match award. With the match finely balanced throughout the singles play, Allsorts found their winning margin by scoring a maximum in the doubles, taking their final tally to 26 points. This gave Allsorts a 100% win record for this part of the season.
Wiveliscombe kept pace with their opponents throughout the singles led by David Woodland who prevailed in 7 sets. There were 4 singles sets apiece for Eamon Farrelly and Ben Cooper, who was making his first appearance this season. With success in just 2 doubles sets, Wiveliscombe ended the evening with 17 points.
