It is with sadness that we have to report the death of Terry on 30th. December 2017.

Terry was for very many years a stalwart both of Wigan St. John's and the Wigan Table Tennis League which he served as a committee member as well as a player.

Terry was one of the few exponents of the pen grip style and did he know how to use it on both sides of the table! When he teamed up with "dodgy bat" Alan Martland in the eighties it made visiting St. John's an interesting experience. This pair won the Division Two doubles in 1998/99.

As well as table tennis, Terry was a keen tennis player and cricketer for as long as he could before his health started to fail him.

Terry's funeral will be at St. John's Church, Standishgate, Wigan at 10 am on Wednesday 10 January 2018.
