It is with sadness that we have to report that Bob Ramsdale died last Thursday.

It was always a pleasure to be in Bob's company, he had a great sense of humour and only stopped playing TT after suffering a heart attack whilst playing a few years ago.

The draw has been made for the quarter finals of the cup competitions and it is in the League KO section of the website under Information.

The matches are to take place in week commencing 21 January 2019 at the venue of the first named team in each match.

On Sunday, we had 2 teams playing at Garstang regional TT centre.

Beat Garstang B 9-0, and narrowly lost 4-5 to Blackpool and 3-6 to Garstang A.

They were unbeaten - Garstang B 9-0, Garstang C 8-1, Blackpool 5-4.

The Handicap Cup first round is in week commencing 5 November 2018. One team has expressed a wish not to take part as is allowed in League rules. The rest of the teams will play as per the format shown in the cup rules. The "opposite" team to the one mentioned above will get a bye.

You may have noticed in the second division fixtures a change of name, venue and match night.

Wigan Roby Mill became Wigan Cotton Kings but are now simply Cotton Kings.

Their match night is Friday and they will play at the following venue:-

The fixtures for the season are in the process of being prepared. This is a more onerous task for the coming season than in recent years because of the configuration of teams in the three divisions and venue availability.

The season will commence week beginning 10 September 2018. There will be 9 teams in Division One, 11 teams in Division Two and 10 Teams in Division Three.

So we travelled to Garstang today to compete in the final round of the National Cadet League.

2 teams , 7 under 15’s.

A team - Daniel, Frankie, David and Andrew.

B team - Kate, Thomas and Matty.

Super proud of all of you.

The Individual Championship competition was held at Lowton School on Sunday 18 March 2018.

It was a disappointing turnout given the number of players in the league.

The results of the competitions decided on the day are now shown in the Honours Board section of the website.

We have just been made aware of the sad news that David Frost passed away on 20 December 2017 after spending several weeks in hospital.

His funeral will be at St. Helens Crematorium on Monday 15th. January 2018 at 1.30 pm.
