There is no Divisional Handicap Competition in the 2016-2017 season.



Rules.

1. Qualification to play is to be registered with a team in the Wigan league.

2. Matches to be played as per a league match, except each of the 10 sets will be of 4 games (not best of 5), played to 11 up or the normal deuce finish. The doubles IS played. IE, 40 games in total.

3. No 4th (or 5th) players in the doubles, or guest players from another division or team, are allowed.

4. Players are individually handicapped. Handicaps may be adjusted for subsequent rounds.

5. IN ORDER TO AVOID THE POSSIBILITY OF TIED MATCHES, A 0.5 HANDICAP POINT SHOULD BE ADDED TO THE TEAM WITH THE HIGHEST TOTAL PLAYER HANDICAPS. 

6. The winner is the team that scores the highest total points from the sum of all the points scored in all the games plus the three player handicaps. 

7. Matches are to be played during the weeks designated, on the home teams usual match night. Postponements are not allowed.

8. Within 3 days, winning team to inform the fixture secretary of the match result. Player handicaps will be confirmed.

9. For the handicaps of any player not shown above, please contact David Mawdesley or Allan Pickford.

10. If results do not arrive in time, or in the event of a dispute, the Exec will determine the result.
