Match Report

The Heinz variety team turned up at LSG arena proudly sporting their new sponsored tops... Ppong grey and blue or were they advertising the success of Wire Jets Ppong?
Both teams struggling this year so this was a big game. Team news just in Owdmon Mauler, Pugwash Smith and Galeforce Garfin to take on Himmler Brookes, Mr Rumbelow Bennett and Mansfield Mossy.
The bell rang and into the arena step the Daves, Owdmon V Rumbelow always a cracker......did not disappoint ! ......Owdmon snatching a thriller from the jaws of defeat in the fifth.
Pugwash V Himmler next .....Pugwash had never taken a game off Jimmy so when he cruised to a 2 nil lead Seaman Stains got over excited and rushed to the toilet...
Himmler hit back firing his big guns in a blitzkrieg which saw him draw level......with the fifth level at nine all Himmler's guns flopped and two soft shots went long to hand the match to Smith...this was too much for Stains and he left to go home and change......
Elastoplast sponsored Garfin took on Wigan's TT answer to Jayne Mansfield... Mrs Moss...Mansfield born in Bryn Mawr and Mossy born in Bryn Wigan (it would be nice if true for this tale) unfortunately she couldn't act out a victory in this one with Galeforce winning in three.
This started a run of three nils. Rumbelow beating Pugwash in a close contest, Owdmon mauled Mansfield and then partnered Smith to take the doubles against Brooks and Pickford the removal man.....15 - 7 to Dragons.....could they keep this up? lately they've been doing a Smash, collapsing after half way.
Himmler organised his troops to beat Galeforce in five with Garfin looking like a praying mantis, stretching for Jimmy's wide angled shots with no success.
Pugwash set sail to cap a good nights work beating Mossy in three who had a bad at on stage with no luck on her side. No Oscar for this performance....
Rumbelow had vanished again to the toilet were he chats to what's his name or Yonmon about advice on something or other. What ever he does down there it didn't work losing 3 - 1 to Galeforce who got his act together in this one...
The last game went to Mawdesley the Mauler in five against a struggling Himmler who was ready to surrender...Owdmon once again steals the MoM award...
The Leyth Journal turned up to interview Dave Bennett about the 22 years in worked in Rumbelow's in Leyth, but all they could get out of him was they hated Piemen coming stealing jobs off the folk from Leyth and the miners abused me just like what's his name and Yonmon do.......After breaking down in tears he ran off with Lee's top to the sound of the border guards sirens....hope he's out in time for the next match !!!!!
Great entertaining evening finished off with a pint against a get bunch of lads and lassie's .....cheers
