Oli Matthews of Bexhillians  Premier Table Tennis Club played in the second round of National Junior League matches and had to step up and play for  Tunbridge Wells club Byng Hall Red in Div 1 as Emily Koester, also from Bexhillians, was unable to play. He was a credit to his club and coaching staff at Bexhillians club and won all his 10 matches helping Byng Hall Red to finish top of their group. Both Oli and Emily will now take part in the same team in the forthcoming Round 3 matches and both players are also having an outstanding season for Bexhillians in the senior Hastings and District League.
