British League Weekend 1 Roundup
Round up on British League weekend 1!  Day 1 saw Bromley I pitched against teams from Draycott and Woodfield. Adam Nutland and Luke Walsh making their first appearance for Bromley in Senior British League joined Tom Savary and Jamie Cartwright to make up a strong offering for Bromley. The matches offered a number of close encounters with Bromley securing 7-2 and 8-1 victories.

Sunday lined up a mouthwatering set of fixtures with Bromley playing promotion hopefuls TableTennisDaily and North Ayrshire. Table Tennis daily knew they were in for a tough game having rested players the previous day and strengthened their squad for the fixture. Craig Preece came in to replace Jamie Cartwright (international duty) maintaining a strong line up from Bromley. This contest played out a number of close 5 game encounters with TableTennisDailys coming out on top 7-2. The 2nd fixture saw Bromley take on a youthful team from North Ayrshire who fielded some strongly rated juniors. An extremely impressive performance from Ayrshire saw them secure a 6-3  victory. Resistance offered by Adam Nutland and Craig Preece. 
Bromley II started the weekend facing off against a strengthened Woodgreen team. Frank Carroll and Dan Brookes turning out for Bromley in SBL for the first time joined by Mark Nicholls and John Patel. Going into the match both teams knew they were in for a tough encounter. Woodgreen secured a 7-2 victory with some strong individual performances. The afternoon saw the team face off against the guys from Somerset Sabres offering an experienced line up. The team battled well but strong performances from Somerset's top order saw them cruise to victory. Dan Brookes offered the only resistance with Bromley going down to an 8-1 loss overall. 
Sunday morning offered a new opportunity to the team as they lined up to play an outfit from the Royal Air Force. Both teams losing their opening encounters the previous day were eager to get points on the board. Peter Canavan joined the team and hit the ground running with victory in his first game. The team battled on to secure a 7-2 victory with good all round performances. The afternoon fixture saw Bromley take on Nottingham Sycamore fielding a very experienced team. Some battling performances from John Patel and Dan Brookes were not enough to have any impact on the result with The result ending up 9-0 in Nottinghams favour. 
We would like to thank everyone for their incredible support over the weekend with a number of familiar faces dropping in to support the event. Big shout out to Martin Williams and Sue Garbutt for a fantastic job on the catering as always. 
The next round of British League fixtures are due to be players at Bromley over weekend of 13-14th October.
