Division 1
Lions A moved to within just a single point of league leaders Lions B this week after their narrow 6-4 win over Whistlers A. Garry Dodd was unbeaten in the Open Channel Island Top 12 qualification event at the end of 2014 and his form continued during this fixture. He won all 3 of his singles matches against Josh Stacey, Lawrence Stacey and reserve Martin Sarre without dropping an end. He also teamed up with Liam Robilliard to win the important doubles against the Stacey twins in 4 games. Robilliard added a 5 game win over Lawrence and it was Chloe Le Tissier who secured the points thanks to an excellent 4 game win over Lawrence. Reserve Sarre had a strong evening due to his 5 game win over Robilliard and 4 game win over Le Tissier.
Lions C remain in 4th spot but they are now level on points with Whistlers A following their emphatic 8-2 win over Whistlers B. Alex Robinson and Josh Butler were both on form during their singles wins over Mark Pipet, Phil Hunkin and Ben Foss with neither dropping an end. They also teamed to take the doubles rubber against Pipet and Hunkin in 5 games. Andre De Carteret was beaten by Pipet and Hunkin in 4 games, but he saved his best performance for his final match against Foss. Facing a 2-1 deficit, he stormed through the final 2 games for the loss of just 9 points for an impressive win.
Division 2
Whistlers D had their lead at the top of the 2nd division cut to just a single point after they were held to a 5-5 draw by Lions D. Despite dropping a point, team captain Jez Powell won all 3 of his singles matches against Martin Sarre, Andy Gill and Ian Le Page. Young Ryan Bichard continues to impress in his debut season in Division 2 and he produced the goods again on this occasion with important matching 4 game wins over Gill and Le Page. The 6th win could not be found for the leaders as Sarre defeated Bichard and Albert Unden, Le Page and Gill beat Unden and Sarre and Gill won a tight doubles clash in 4 games over Powell and Bichard.
St Pauls A made no mistake and duly closed the gap courtesy of a 7-3 win over Lions F. Maurice James and Trevor Bourgaize were undefeated on the evening as each defeated Dave Finn, Rob Vile and Ken Tucknott. The pair also won the doubles clash against Vile and Tucknott in 5 games. Each of the Lions players gained singles wins over St Pauls 3rd Division reserve Brian Le Cras.
Division 3
Lions G continue to dominate the 3rd division and their 4 point lead was maintained thanks to their 1st 10-0 whitewash of the season, Lions I the unfortunate recipients of the brush. Jamie Ferbrache, Andrew Ferbrache and reserve Mike Brehaut won their singles matches against Bolette Hjorth, Jenny Powell and Jan Priest. Jamie and Andrew combined to win the doubles match against Powell and Hjorth in straight games.
Division 4
Lions J's 4 point lead at the top remains in force due to their 10-0 win over Lions L. Sam Totty, Val Guilbert and Diane Le Page all beat Tony Brassell, James Le Tissier and reserve Jack Le Tissier in singles competition. Guilbert and Totty defeated Brassell and James in the doubles without loss.
