Introduction to Table Tennis Classes

Stirlingshire Table Tennis will be running a four-week INTRODUCTION TO TABLE TENNIS block for adults at the Bowhouse Community Centre, Grangemouth (postcode: FK3 0EU). 

The dates and times for the classes are: 

Wednesday 11th May: 7.30pm – 9.30pm 

Wednesday 18th May: 7.30pm – 9.30pm

Wednesday 25th May: 7.30pm – 9.30pm

Wednesday 1st June: 7.30pm – 9.30pm

The classes are aimed at adults who have either recently taken up or are wishing to take up the sport in the future and benefit from the many physical and mental health benefits Table Tennis can bring.

Subjects covered over the four-week course will include: 

Week 1 – Warm up, Rules of TT, Health benefits of TT, Bat grip, Basic Strokes Part 1

Week 2 – Service and Return, Basic Strokes Part 2, Robot practice (practicing with an advanced TT Robot)

Week 3 – Basic Footwork for TT, Tailored Robot Sessions, Basic Strokes Part 3, Spin explained

Week 4 – Match/Competition fun final session. Creating a post class training and health plan. Local TT Club network information for further playing.

The class will be facilitated by Mando Notarangelo, Stirlingshire Table Tennis Development officer and UKCC Coach, who will be assisted by selected local county players at each session. 

Bats and balls will be supplied on the evenings if required.

Cost per individual session is £4 

Block payment for attending all 4 weeks is available at discounted cost of £12
