There was a symmetry about the results this week in the top two Divisions.  The three matches in the First Division were all 8-2 home wins, whilst all the games in the Second Division were 6-4 away wins!

No change occurred at the top of the First as Torbay Academy 1 march on towards the title; whilst resting their top two players they still defeated their 2^nd team, and Patrik Cincala was man of the match for Academy 1.  The two Newton Abbot sides, Batmen and Buzzards had comfortable wins over Brixham Gulls and Dawlish Aces; Dennis and Shaun Gibbs with maximums for the Batmen and Kevin Nicholls and Jon Cheung likewise for the Buzzards.

The Second Division’s top match between the top two teams was postponed, which gave the others chance to make up ground. However, third-placed Brixham Pirates lost to a Colin Harrop-inspired Taverners, while fourth-placed Battlers also lost out at home to Brixham Dolphins, whose Nick Shipley was in fine form.  Marldon Tykes picked up their first win of the season at fellow villagers, Marldon, but remain at the foot of the table.

NA Hawks stretched their lead at the top of the Third Division to 8 points, with a 10-0 victory over basement club Dawlish Diamonds. Doug Morgan, Ben Swettenham and Mike Coxhead all played well for the Hawks.  The match of the day in the Third Division was between 2^nd & 3^rd placed Torbay Academy 4 and Denbury Tykes. Young Jakub Piwowar’s maximum was just enough to ease the Academy home 6-4.

Another Craig Collins maximum helped leaders of the Fourth Division, Torbay Academy 6, to a 7-3 victory over NA Kites. Torre Tigers’ Jean Neafcy, Robert Burridge and Steve Tucker climb up to 2^nd place with a whitewash victory over Brixham Swifts. Rob Ferguson and Dale Fabian were on fine form as they helped third-placed NA Ospreys to a 7-3 victory at Torbay Academy 6.  There are just 3 points separating the top 3 at the halfway stage. A fine 9-1 win by NA Owls over Dawlish Drifters sees them climb 2 places to fourth. The all-Bayliss family team saw maximums from Rob and Dylan and first League wins for 10 year-old Rowan.
