The battle for the top of the 2^nd Division was spoilt by a fire alarm going off at Teign School. NA Falcons were leading Torbay Academy (3) 5-2 at the time and seemed to be heading for the top of the table, but the Academy side headed home during the lengthy break and the match will have to be completed at a later date.  Brixham Trawlers used the fire alarm break against NA Hawks to their advantage at Teign School, returning to take the final 3 sets and win the match 6-4, although they couldn’t defeat the Hawks’ Mike Dummett.

Brixham Seals hung on to the 2^nd Division top spot with a narrow 6-4 victory over NA Eagles. Philip Avery was unbeaten for the Seals, whilst Curtis Sage was in fine form for the Eagles, just losing in 5 to Avery but with excellent victories over Bob Parkins and Stuart Shipley.  A maximum from Marldon’s Helen Glover was not enough to give her side victory over Torbay Academy 3, as they went down 6-4. The Taverners, Geoff Read, Martin Dilkes and Colin Harrop, had a whitewash victory over basement team Torbay Academy 4. 

In the First Division, Brixham Sharks took back the runners-up spot from NA Batmen, following an Adam Shipway-inspired 8-2 victory over club mates the Gulls.  Dave Wadling was unbeaten as he led Halwell to a 7-3 victory over bottom side Brixham Pirates.

The two Tykes teams who are totally dominating the Third Division, both had big wins.  The leaders, Denbury Tykes came out 9-1 winners over NA Kestrels, as Huw Darch and Paul Hine took maximums, whilst the Kestrels’ Rob Williams prevented the whitewash. Marldon Tykes went one better, defeating the Hasbeens 10-0.  Joe Holmes was unbeaten as Brixham Dolphins played out a draw with Torre Tigers.

Torbay Academy 7, with a 7-3 win at Torre over Torres R us, still lead the 4^th Division.  NA Owls could not defeat club mate Pete Sercombe, but still ran out 6-4 victors over the Vultures to hang on to the runners-up spot.  Richard Salt, with another maximum, helped his NA Kites team to a 7-3 victory over Brixham Swifts.

In a terrific Dyment Doubles Cup match, holders Torbay Academy 1 eventually squeezed past NA Buzzards 5-3, in a match of high quality points enjoyed by a decent crowd.
