Another whitewash victory by runaway leaders of the first division, Torbay Academy 1, this one over Brixham Gulls, opens up a 23 point lead at the top. Kris & Jakub Piwowar along with Patrik Cincala far too strong for a struggling Gulls side sitting at the foot of the table.

With NA Batmen having the week off, their club colleagues the Buzzards took their place in the runners up spot with a 6-4 win over NA Condors, maximums for the Buzzards’ Kevin Nicholls and Herbie Sage. NA Condors, in action twice this week, suffered a heavy 9-1 defeat to Brixham Sharks, both Bob Parkins and Gordon Holmes were undefeated for the Sharks.

Torbay Academy 2, leaders of the second division, were pushed all the way by Brixham Trawlers, but eventually won 6-4 thanks mainly to another Esme Suarez maximum. A man of the match performance from NA Falcons Chris Jacob helped inflict only the second defeat of the season on club mates the Eagles 6-4. Brixham Pirates with Nicholas Shipley in fine form defeated Taverners 7-3. Marldon, who’s Helen Glover was unbeaten shared the points with Denbury Tykes, who are fighting hard to try and avoid the drop to the third division.

A fine 9-1 victory by Marldon Tykes over Torbay Academy 4 puts them level on points at the top of Division Three with Torbay Academy 3 who were held to a draw by Dawlish Diamonds. Steve Tyler and Kevin Ayling with maximums for the Tykes, and Ben Hoare unbeaten for Academy 3.

Jamie McGuire was in fine form, but his maximum was not enough as Academy 5 slipped to a 6-4 defeat against NA Hawks. NA Kestrels and Brixham Dolphins shared the points, Robert Williams with a man of the match performance for the Kestrels.

Hasbeens are marching towards the fourth division title following another convincing win, the latest a 9-1 victory over Torre Panthers, Alan Tyrrell and Mike Coxhead unbeaten for the Hasbeens. A Chris Harper maximum for Torre Titans in their 7-3 victory over NA Kites keeps them in the hunt but they trail Hasbeens by a massive 26 points. A man of the match performance from Rowan Bayliss helped NA Owls to a 6-4 victory over Dawlish Drifters. Torre Tigers edged out Torbay Academy 6 by a similar score line, Carl Tucker & Jean Neafcy were unbeaten for the Tigers.

Kacper Piwowar was unbeaten as leaders Torbay Academy 7 defeated Brixham Seals 8-2. Maximums from Ollie Pead & Henry Greet, for NA Ospreys, keeps the Ospreys in the hunt, as they defeated Dawlish Delights 9-1. A fine performance from debutant, David Palmer, helped NA Merlins to a share of the points with Brixham Swifts.
