PRESS REPORT – Sunday 7^th Nov

NA Batmen bounced back from their surprise defeat last week with a convincing 8-1 victory over Halwell B, Shaun Gibbs and Mark Burridge were unbeaten for the Newton Abbot side, Dave Wadling collected Halwell’s point.  Dan Webster-Hall’s fine run of form continued with another maximum for NA Condors who defeated the Sharks at Brixham 7-2.

Newly promoted Torre Titans continue to set the pace in the 2^nd Division their latest victory a 6-3 victory at Bishopsteignton over the Taverners, Christopher Harper again unbeaten for the Titans. The NA Owls were  6-3 victors in the all Newton Abbot clash against NA Falcons, Giles Tushingham with another maximum for the Owls. In an all Brixham encounter the Gulls just got the better of the Trawlers 5-4.  Torbay Academy 2 were far too strong for a battling NA Raptors winning 8-1, Stuart Shipley and Ben Hoare were unbeaten for the Academy, Paul Hine preventing the whitewash with the Raptors point in the last set.

NA Ospreys 5-4 victory over the previously unbeaten Torbay Academy 3 was despite a fine maximum from the Academy’s Elsa Perry. In another close encounter a Peter Daly maximum for the Grove was not enough to prevent Torbay Academy 4 winning 5-4.  NA Kestrels, Dale Fabian, Quillan Wilson and Rob Williams, moved to the top of the table with a convincing whitewash victory over Dawlish.

The youngsters from Torbay Academy 5 continue to go well at the top of the 4^th Division their latest victory a 7-2 win over NA Harriers, William Whittington was unbeaten for the Academy. Hot on their heals, also with 3 wins out of 3, are Torre Thunder who defeated NA Merlins 6-3, Robert Excell again on good form for the Torre side.  An Ionel Ichim maximum for Torbay Academy 6 were the only points they got as they went down 3-6 to NA Kites.  An Andy Guy maximum was not enough to see his NA Vultures team to their first victory of the season as they lost out 5-4 to Brixham Seals.
