2024-25 SEASON 

It was a busy week with many teams catching up with some of their fixtures. 

In the top division the leaders, NA Buzzards, had a fairly comfortable 9-1 win at Halwell, Herbie Sage and Simon James were undefeated for the Buzzards.  Still to be beaten, NA Batmen, had two wins, defeating Brixham Trawlers 7-3 and Halwell A 6-4 helped by maximums from Dan Webster-Hall, George Haskell and Rory Harries.  A Chris Harper maximum helped his Brixham Sharks on their way to a 7-3 victory over NA Condors.  The NA Condors also suffered an 8-2 defeat by their clubmates NA Eagles, whose Mark Burridge and Paul Davey were unbeaten.

In the second division NA Raptors currently top, fourth and fifth successive maximums from Paul Hine leading the way as they defeated Taverners 7-3 and Brixham Pirates 6-4.  Second placed Grove Guerrillas’ Andrew Gilhespy had a maximum in their 7-3 victory over Taverners. NA Ravens, with games in hand, are keeping the pressure on the top two, their latest victory a 6-4 win over NA Falcons.  Another Neville Cregan maximum helped his Torbay Academy 2 side to a share of the points against Dawlish Aces.

Torbay Academy currently dominate the third division with Academy 4 leading the way. Matt Laws, yet to be beaten, picked up his fourth maximum but his teammate Ionel Ichim lost his 100% record as the Academy 4 side defeated Brixham Gulls 6-4. Torbay Academy 3, in second place, whitewashed club colleagues Torbay Academy 5, Andy Harris, John Fowler and Peter Moretta dominant throughout.  Peter Chadwick was in fine form as his maximum helped Dawlish Renegades to a 7-3 victory over Torbay Academy 5. The Academy 5 side didn’t have a good week as they lost their third game of the week 6-4 to NA Harriers whose Doug Morgan secured a maximum. 

Another fine victory from Torre Spartans keeps them in front at the top of the fourth division. Lewis Lavery and Robert Excell were unbeaten as the Spartans saw off Dawlish Delinquents 9-1. With a game in hand second placed Grove Tigers, with their fourth consecutive victory, defeated NA Vultures 8-2 and are only a couple of points off the top, Jeff Cornish with a maximum for the Totnes side. Another Ken Ramsden maximum helped NA Ospreys to a 7-3 win over Brixham Seals. It was a similar score for NA Merlins as they defeated Torbay Academy 7 thanks to a Derek Stratton maximum.
