WEEK 3 Round up
PWTT v Barnsley
PWTT could only field 2 players and were up against Steve Young, a new face to the league, Stuart and Colin from Barnsley. Needless to say giving their opponents a 3 start was not good. Steve and Stuart came away with wins over Lee and Kevin and Colin added 1 beating Kevin. Lee notched 1 up for the host beating Colin and partnered Kevin to win the doubles. 2-8 to Barnsley.
Eastmoor A v Denhale
John, GrahamW and Chris played against Chow GrahamN and fit again David. First on were John and Chow, this was a really tight contest that John scraped home in the 5th with a 13-11 win, 2 other sets also going to deuce. GrahamW recovered from losing the first set to beat GrahamN 3-1 and Chris eased past David. GrahamN and Chow then put on another 5 set classic with Chow unlucky again losing 11-4 in the final set. John secured 2 points and Chris a 3rd beating GrahamN and David. The doubles went to ace partners Chow and Graham. Thereafter GrahamW beat David, Chris beat Chow. Last on were John and GrahamN and Graham battled past the pimples to leave Eastmoor winners 8-2.
Eastmoor C v Eastmoor B
Charlie, John and Anthony faced club mates Paul, Carl and Tyrone, It turned out to be a great night for the B team with a resounding 10-0 win, however it wasn’t at all a straight forward victory as 4 matches went to 4 sets and Charlie losing in the 5th to Carl.
