Barnsley vs Eastmoor A
Stuart, Steve and Ray potentially their strongest trio faced Daniel, Chris and Paul Kirby of Eastmoor. Stuart eased past Daniel in the first match but Steve encountered stiffer resistance from Chris and eventually won this 3-1. Ray took his almost customary 3-0 win against Paul. Steve now faced Daniel, he took the 1st set easily but lost the next 2 to deuces before recovering to win the last 2. Stuart got another win against Paul and Ray did likewise against Chris. The doubles partnership of Stuart and Ray eased through the doubles leaving Steve the opportunity to secure maximum point if he beat Paul, and he did just that. Ray took another 3-0 win this time against Daniel and Stuart finished a perfect night for Barnsley beating Chris 3-0 for a thumping 1-0 win
PWTT v Eastmoor C
PWTT put out Lee, Nicky and late substitute Roger against Eastmoors Paul, John and Anthony in the tropical surroundings at Heckmondwike. Lee and Paul played out 4 sets with Lee taking it 3-1 and Nicky fairly hammered his way past John firing winners from all angles. Roger managed to get the better of Anthony and Nicky continued his great form to win 3-0 against Paul. Lee got another win against Anthony leaving Roger and John to share 5 see-sawing sets that Roger sneaked home in 11-9 in the 5th. Nicky took his 3rd win beating Anthony and Roger lost out to Paul 3-1. Last singles was Lee and John and Lee hit a couple more winners than John here to secure a straight sets win. The doubles went to Lee and Roger over Paul and John for a 9-1 win
