yet another close game when Basildon B hosted Stanford B, Although Basildon  put up a fight Stanford made sure of a 6 - 4 win. Gary McCarthy and Trevor Ward were unable to break the constant attack from Stanford. Fortunately Garry Hartgrove won his 3 games and the two Gary's winning the doubles for Basildon. Russ Bright, Derrick Pearson and Dave hancox all winning 2 games each for the visitors
