It was a shame that Stanford 'D' were only able to field 2 players for their first match of the season.  Despite this, Martin Winter and Adrian Armstrong managed 2 singles wins each to ensure that the final match result was in doubt until the final doubles.  However, neither of them were able to overcome James Spencer who turned in a player of the match performance, ending when he teamed up with Tina Hutchinson to win the crucial doubles at the end to ensure the win for his team.  A blank night for Keith Cullen unfortunately.
