Mark Farley was the hat-trick hero as Stanford 'C' edged a close encounter with Basildon Hospital.  The win was confirmed when Mark, partnered by John Handscombe , won a fifth set decider to clinch the final doubles.  There was a strange look to the scoreline in game 7, when Errol Anderson, 2 sets to the good and seemingly on top against John Handscombe, contrived to lose the next 2 sets 11/0, 11/2, before recovering to take the fifth at 11/13.
