This was a very close match where 6 of the 9 singles matches went the full distance and the remainder went to 4 sets.  Indeed it was only the doubles that was decided in straight sets, with the Setts pairing of Mike Newman and Andy Hart grabbing victory to ensure that they left Canvey with a draw.  Andy proved to be the hero for Setts with a hat-trick supported by Mike with a singles win.  For the home side there were 2 wins each for Tony Molisso and Steve Robinson and 1 for Jo Hills.
