This was a setback in Basildon 'D's  quest to avoid relegation, as they were only able to field 2 players in their away match to runaway league leaders Hadleigh Forum.  The outcome was a 9/0 win for the home side and an early finish.  The best match of the evening saw Dave Woolmer just get the better of veteran Dave Kirston by a score of 11/9 8/11 11/13 11/2 13/11.  Keith Willett continued his comeback to competitive table tennis after a long absence with a win over Keith Cullen and partnered Graham Farmer to victory in the only doubles.  Graham chipped in with a straight sets win over Dave Kirston.
