Canvey got off to a flying start and led 4-0 but they ran out of steam, and time, at the venue, and were forced to concede the final doubles to their opponents from Basildon Hospital.  They still ran out 5-4 winners on the night however thanks, to 2 singles wins by Tony Westwell and 1 each from Jo Hills and Lee McGonagle plus a doubles win by Jo and Lee.  For the Medics there was a singles win each for Clive Beauchamp and Chudi Ukpaka and a doubles win for Chudi and Mike Smith.
