A good win for Stanford 'C' that took them away from the lower reaches of the league but one that left Basildon 'D' rooted to the bottom.  Once again it was Colin Digby who led the way for Stanford with 2 singles and 2 doubles wins.  He was well supported by John Handscombe, who also won both his singles, and Tony Papasfikis who added another point.  For Basildon 'D' there was a singles win for Dave Kirston and a doubles success for him and Keith Cullen. However the  game wasn’t as one sided as the result suggests, and there were some very close games.
