Match Report

Tough opening match for a weakened Stanford A  against a strong Basildon B side, Gus Heath and Garry Hartgrove unbeaten on the night with Trevor Collins winning a brace, the only consolation for Stanford was Ryan Sutcliffe winning the only game for the home team. Basildon also winning the doubles in the 5th set, Basildon truly throwing down the gauntlet for the rest of the league in their opening match and letting everyone know of their intentions.
