League leaders Wickford Cricket Club maintained their unbeaten record with a hard fought, 6/4 victory over second placed, and previously unbeaten, Stanford 'C'.   Even at this, relatively early, stage of the season it seems that these two teams are destined to occupy the promotion places in Division 2.  In this match, Rick Gill led the way for the away side with a well-earned maximum.  Team mates Dave Norris and Ron Coutts provided good support on the night.  Adrian Armstrong was the best player for Stanford with a brace and he and Chris Crooks teamed up to take the final doubles.
