Match Report

Brian Spencer was the hat-trick hero as Stanford 'C' claimed the bragging rights after a 7/3 victory over the 'D' team. He was well supported by skipper Adrian Armstrong with 2 wins and Martin Winter with 1 win. Brian and Adrian then took the final doubles in 4 close sets. John Handscombe had the most success for the 'D' team with 2 wins. One of these wins came when he recovered from 2 sets down to beat Adrian by 13/11 in the decider. This win keeps Stanford 'C' hot on the heels of league leaders Wickford Cricket Club with a third of the season gone.
