This was a close match, eventually decided in Stanford 'C's favour with victory for Adrian Armstrong and Chris Crooks in the final doubles. In the singles, Chris with a maximum and Adrian with 2 wins were the points scorers for Stanford, whilst for Canvey, there were 2 wins from the evergreen Terry Giddens and 1 win each from Tony Westwell and Lee McGonagle.  The closest match of the night saw Martin Winter recover from 2 sets down against Lee before going down at 15-13 in the decider.
