 Friday nights are table tennis nights at Droitwich Spa High School. 

A capacious gymnasium with a high ceiling, adequate lighting and a good floor yields the provision of four concurrent matches with some ease.  

Ben Rycroft Stanley starred for The Pasties with a hat trick , his first season in Division One  has seen him make considerable progress , he's accrued over 300 ranking points , and has realised some of the promise that has made him Worcestershires #1 Junior. Bens forehand is a precision instrument , aided by nimble footwork , at the age of 14 he can only continue to improve. 

Ben was abetted by Mike Evetts , who bagged a brace over fellow Colebridge club mates Mahroof Hussain and Herman Klein. Evetts , despite his best efforts , could not get the better of Elliot Brandwood , the only player present not a Colebridge TTC member.

Brandwood also beat Jason Rainey, thereby earning two of Sharks four points, the other two coming from Kleins and Hussains defeat of the same player.

The match hinged on the final doubles set , which Rycroft Stanley and Evetts secured in the fifth end at 11-9, a very close run affair.

An enjoyable evening , which leaves the Sharks in deep water toward the end of the table, with their final match playing Tigers next Friday.
