Following the postponement of Cwmbran Colts match against Blaenavon Aces, Division One of the Eastern Valley Table Tennis League has new leaders. Despite losing their match against Bristol Nomads 15-20, YMCA Preachers took over top spot. For the Nomads there were 2 wins each for Ian Maggs, Mike Bishop and Alex Banks although neither of them could overcome the Preachers' David Lloyd who took the player of the match award with maximum wins.

The other match in Division One saw Cwmbran Blues defeat Cwmbran Aztecs 23-8. The surprising aspect of this match was the straight sets defeats of Aztecs' Tony Collins by Roger Grech and David D Lloyd. It was the Blues' Grech who narrowly took the player of the match award over his team mate Lloyd.

In Division Two, Cwmbran Panthers continue to lead the division following their latest win over Cwmbran Eccentrics 23-7. The undoubted highlight of this match was the win by Eccentrics' Alan Howse over the highly ranked Howard Gaut by 3-1. For the Panthers there was another player of the match performance from Mike Blatchford who won all his games. Blatchford was well supported by his team mates Gaut and Yuri Cherkasenko with 2 wins each.

Cwmbran Dynamos are leading the chase following their 23-9 win over Cwmbran Devils. The player of the match award went to the Dynamos' Alex Jones with his 3 wins and he was well supported by Richard Lownsbrough and Will Smith-Haddon with their 2 wins each.

The final match in Division Two saw Cwmbran Fellows pick up their first win of the season 22-11 over North Gwent Cougars. It was a very competitive match with player of the match Chris Thomas, by winning all his matches in straight sets, being the difference between the sides. He was well supported by Haydn Skinner with his 2 wins and Marta Morris with her 6 points. For the Cougars Iestyn Howells picked up 2 wins.
