With the top two sides in Division Two not playing due to postponement and bye, North Gwent Cougars were looking to cement their third position in the division. In their latest match they overcome Cwmbran Eccentrics 19-12 with the outstanding match of the night being between the previously unbeaten Greg Price(Cougars) and John Thomas(Eccentrics). It was a match that swung one way then the other with Price taking a 2-1 lead only for Thomas to pull it back to 2 games all to take it to a deciding game which Price won, despite being 6-10 down in the final game, to maintain his unbeaten season. Price took the player of the match award and was well supported by Garin Edwards with his two wins. For the Eccentrics Thomas picked up two wins and Lincoln Alford one win.
The other match in Division Two saw Cwmbran Devils defeat Cwmbran Fellows 18-12. Player of the match was the Devils' Roshan Rai who comfortably saw off the Fellows team with a faultless display. Rai was supported by Colin Scott with one win and five points and Stan Williams with one win and four points. For the Fellows Wayne Ford picked up two wins and Haydn Skinner and Mick Mellor picked up one win each.
