Ian Boardman has agreed to cover the final two slots for Saturday.
Now just need Sunday – to be honest happy to take it easy and let others have a go. I really want to give it a good go on Saturday and do a full hard 11 hours play.

Need more support!
As hopefully you all know I’m involved yet again in the Staveley Table Tennis Marathon event at which we hope to build on the £104,000 raised for charities over the past 21 years.
I know Kate has emailed the Club Captains and it’s on the HTTA website.
This year we have two days of table tennis at the Staveley Village Hall. Starting 9am finishing 8pm both days – so 22 hours of table tennis.
I’m going to try and play the full 22 hours and certainly intend to play the full 11 hours on the Saturday. Last time I played 24 hours non stop and suffered for several months afterwards!
I’ve put together a timetable per hour so only need 11 slots filling for the Saturday – Andy Challenger has booked the first two slots – so a nice easy start for me then – NOT!
Les Wood is doing the midday slot.
I know Nidge and Dale have already advise that the SPA and Junior players will attend at some times during the day and hopefully we will have more players to play doubles as well.
In terms of fund raising – any contributions on the day itself would be welcome – not sure if Ken Barker is holding a raffles as well. We tend to ask the Staveley residents to contribute and they just donate sums ranging from £10 to £500. It’s a question of table tennis being the vehicle to bring the villagers together.
I do hope some of you can help and join me on the Saturday/Sunday – I need the practice as well.
