Table Tennis Report Week 11

 

Premier Division 

Hang Em High start the second half of the season with a one point lead over ping panthers following an 8-2 win over  win over Dynamos. Trebles for Andrew Sharland and Michael Bridger with one from Graham Carter. For the maximum points win Graham and Michael combined in the doubles to defeat Dynamos Richard Caddy and Richard Cosens. For Dynamos it was one apiece for Richard Cosens and Richard Caddy.

 

Ping Panthers stay second following a 10-0 win over Dark Horses. A strong Panthers team saw trebles for Lynne Trussell, Marc Burman and Sam Clarke with the doubles also going to Panthers Lynne Trussell and Sam Clarke. Dark Horses Ross Knowson, Viv Cole and Steven Ive are finding their first season in the premier tough going.

In third place but with a game in hand Assassins’ defeated game changers by the same score line 10-0. It was hard earned trebles for Keigo Burnham, Ben Worley and David Champneys over Mike Day, Jim Skinner and new addition Rayer Jean Angelus. With. Keigo and Ben taking the doubles over Jim Skinner and Rayar Jean-Angelus.

 

Division One 

Spin Masters move top for the first time with a 9-1 win over Burning Rubber. Three apiece for Claudio Bagaini, Paul Brinkhurst and two for Tommy Worley, Tommy Warley and Paul Brinkhurst defeated Steve Lee ad David Pitts in the doubles. Gavin Pitts was the lone winner for Burning Rubber.

In second spot are Thunderbolts just one point but with a game in hand owing to a bye this week.

X Men defeated the team of Happy Days 8-2 with a treble for Angus Ogg and two apiece for team mates Peter Caddy and Tom Christophersen. Peter and Angus went on to win the doubles. For Happy Days Bob Watson was the only winner in defeating both Tom Christophersen and Peter Caddy from the X Men. 

Mavericks defeated Magiks 8-2. Trebles for John Bridger and Frank Hanley with one plus the doubles for third player Darius Mayhew. Phil Harvey and Kevin Deacon were the winners for Magiks

 

Division Two 

Pingwins are too far ahead in this division that first division table tennis next season is a forgone conclusion.
This week they defeated Dangermen 9-1. It was three each for David Polhill and Rupert Browning with two for Paul Lewis with Paul and David taking the doubles. For Dangermen the lone win came from Tony Pells.

A good 6-4 win for the juniors of Mad Batters over Blade Runners saw Batters move into second place in this division.

A treble for Johnny Griffiths plus the doubles win with Josh Cole over Keith Johnson and Malcolm Norwood sealed the 6-4 win. Team mate Josh Cole won two. For Blade Runners Two for Malcolm Norwood and one each for Tom Sensier and Keith Johnson

New Avengers defeated Smashing Pumpkins 6-4 with trebles from Robert Goff, two from Prevesh Ramnath plus Prevesh and Martin Gallagher winning the doubles. Smashing Pumpkins Mat Stevens with one win Simon Howard with One win and Oliver Howard with two.
